Everything Fall

www.dmweddings.com

My Inspiration:
Fall is such a season that provides all sorts of warm thoughts even though the temperatures are becoming cooler. Hay bails can be used for seating with blankets given as favors to guests. Hot cocoa can be served during cocktail hour with tasty treats like grilled cheese and tomato soup. Pumpkins and gourds of all shapes, sizes, and colors can be used in décor to make your guests feel at home and welcomed. Also, let's not forget the mums and the beautiful warm colors they can provide to wedding décor and personal flower arrangements. Cheers to a season with so much charm!

Windows Galore

My Inspiration:
There is no end to the inspiration The Louvre provides but one thought that struck me immediately was in regards to the windows on the ceilings through portions of the halls. These windows gave me instant thoughts of a wedding reception inside an atrium or historical building with stained glass. If you added string fairy lights or draped greenery it would make for an even more romantic ambiance.

Villanous Jewels

My Inspiration:
This eye palette has some seriously show stopping jewel and earth tones with all the glitter a glamorous soul could need. It inspires me to think darker for wedding color selections and apply them in more ways than just makeup. Picture navy table coverings with burgundy napkins and burgundy flowers with lots of dark colored greens in the centerpieces. Add some gold glitter to the greens in the centerpieces and maybe some gold chiavari chairs to pull the whole look together.

Feathers and Fluff

www.dmweddings.com

My Inspiration:
While in Belgium I visited the Atomium and an incredible surrealism art exhibition. This piece was particularly inspiring for wedding ideas. It made me think of dove releases and how romantic they can be at the end of an outdoor ceremony. It also made me think of something a bit unique. Bridesmaids could carry bouquets made of feathers and the bride's bouquet could also be made of feathers or add flowers to make it stand out a bit from the rest. The groomsmen could have feather boutonnieres instead of traditional flowers.

Coffee and Tea

www.dmweddings.com

My Inspiration:
Sometimes a simple but well executed meal can create some fabulous inspiration! If you are planning a wedding in cooler months consider hiring a professional barista to set up a coffee and tea station to serve some unique signature drinks to your guests that look and taste as special as your wedding day. If you are planning a wedding in warmer months consider a salad station with all sorts of different gourmet cold salads and breads for your guests to experience something new without straying from the traditional entrée offerings.
