Wedding Insurance

Should You Purchase Wedding Insurance?
Wedding insurance is always good to consider but not a necessity in most cases.
It is a great thing to have to protect your investments. Some wedding venues require
you to purchase insurance for the day of your wedding at least thirty days prior
to your wedding date. To get full details, a quote, or to purchase event insurance
you can request information from your home or renter insurance provider or contact an
event insurance company directly. Two online resources that we often recommend to our
brides are noted below. Also noted below are items that your event insurance may
cover depending on your provider and the level of coverage you choose to purchase.
Attire Accidents
If the bride's gown or the groom's tuxedo are lost or damaged you are provided money to repair the items or get a check for the replacement cost of these items.

Lost Deposits
If a vendor goes out of business, declares bankruptcy before your wedding, or simply fails to show up or deliver on services purchased you are reimbursed the cost of the service and any products they were paid to provide.

Lost Rings
You can receive repair or replacement cost if the bride's or groom's wedding band are lost or damaged.

Severe Weather
If severe weather (such as a hurricane) forces you to postpone or cancel your wedding you are provided reimbursement for non-recoverable expenses.

Ruined Photos
If your photographer fails to deliver on the purchased package or has defective equipment you will be able to get a new photo session or video to recover the lost footage.

Call To Duty
If the bride or groom is unexpectedly called to duty, or military leave is revoked, forcing you to postpone the wedding a reimbursement for non-recoverable expenses will be dispensed.

Damaged Gifts
You are allowed replacement or repair of damaged or lost gifts.

Sudden Illness
If the wedding needs to be postponed because of sudden illness preventing the bride, groom, or parents from attending you can receive a reimbursement for non-recoverable expenses.
