Honeymoon Ideas

Honeymoon of Your Dreams
Are you and your fiancé still trying to decide
where you are going on your honeymoon?
Three great vacation spots are listed below to help you on your search.
You may just fall in love with one of these beautiful honeymoon locations!

Location: Gatlinburg, TN
Weather: The weather in Gatlinburg, TN is much like our weather in Pennsylvania with less snow.  It's a temperate 4 season climate with an average high of 85 in August and average low of 25 in January.
Beat the crowds: The peak seasons in the Smokies are mid-summer (June 15- August 15), during warm summer weather and family vacation time, and the month of October, when fall weather is at it's finest and the leaves are changing.  Avoid these times of the year if you prefer to avoid the crowds.
Places to Stay: Along with the multiple hotel options, the Gatlinburg area is full of cabins in the area for a more private stay!  Many of these come with hot tubs, grills, and extras like a game room or community pool with prices that are in line with the average hotel stay.  Cabins by Elk Springs Resort are a Designing Memories favorite!
Places to Eat: From chain restaurants like Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Restaurant and Market to individual eateries like The Park Grill the Gatlinburg area is full of delicious southern dining.
Main Attractions: The Smoky Mountains are a great place for nature and adventure lovers!  There are plenty of places for hiking, ziplining, and horseback riding along with fun areas to shop, an arts and crafts community, and a Ripley's Aquarium with individualized animal encounters!

Location: Walt Disney World in Orlando, FL
Weather: The weather in Orlando is much warmer and more humid than here in Pennsylvania.  The average high in August is 92, average low in January is 71, and short rain showers are almost guaranteed daily in the warm months.
Beat the crowds: Crowd levels vary weekly with the highest crowd levels being during summer months and holiday seasons such as Easter and Christmas.  For a specific look at the crowds and special events when you're hoping to visit, check out an online crowd calendar like the one at
www.kennythepirate.com/crowd-calendars.
Places to Stay: Walt Disney World offers hotels in 3 price ranges from value to moderate to deluxe.  All the disney hotels offer perks such as extra hours in the parks, transportation to the parks and airport, and the ability to create a meal package.  Hotels outside the parks can sometimes be cheaper and many are even part of the Disney World Good Neighbor program which guarantees they are of great quality and oftentimes provide their own transportation as well.  It's definitely a benefit to do some research to learn about the pros and cons of all your options in the Orlando area.
Places to Eat: Between restaurants found in the Orlando area and those actually inside the Walt Disney World parks, every pallette can be pleased when you visit the happiest place on Earth.  From Mexican food to fast food to fine dining, whatever your budget and taste buds desire, you'll find it here.
Main Attractions: The main attractions for those visiting Walt Disney World are, of course, the 4 Disney parks.  Outside of those parks, however you can find many other entertainment options.  Universal provides a thrill seeker's perfect park day and Sea World's Discovery Cove will delight the animal lover.  Beyond the amusement parks, there are many other entertainment options available.  Relax at one of the luxurious spas, shop and explore at Disney Springs, golf at one of the local courses, or take a drive to a sunny beach for something different.

Location: Royal Caribbean Cruise
Weather: The weather varies depending on your port of call. With so many options to choose from you can choose the perfect climate for you and your love.
Beat the crowds: The peak seasons for cruising is March to July but this varies depending on the port of call you choose.  August to October can be tricky months to navigate due to hurricane season.
Places to Stay: Your options are much like an all-inclusive resort. The rooms range from staterooms to balcony rooms to deluxe suites. If you are concerned about getting sick, choose a room closest to the center of the ship as possible.
Places to Eat: One of the best parts of cruising with Royal Caribbean is the large amount of dining options available on board. You have access to everything from formal dining in the main ballroom to casual buffet dining in the Windjammer and so much more! The best part is the food is all you can eat and all-inclusive. You only pay extra for bar items, the occasional chain restaurant like Johnny Rockets,
and any food you might purchase while on land.
Main Attractions: When you are vacationing on a cruise you are basically enjoying a floating island. There are plenty of on board activities planned and fun things to do. Swimming, mini golfing, karaoke, rock climbing, parades, dance lessons, ice-skating, bumper cars, and wine tasting are just a few and most are all-inclusive!
